We are a custom shop not a street shop… if you don’t know the difference, this advert is not for you. We must be direct; we are looking for an established Tattooer striving to open their own spot or join an art collective. Without a local clientele it is almost impossible to build a following here as we are appointment only and have little amount of walk-ins. The shop is very very healthy and it’s reputation is on the rise for 22 years and going .
You must have a clientele base that you can reach out to immediately.
C.M.T studio is different for several reasons:
We do charge artist/s percentage’s but also rent based. Therefore you manage your own business, clientele, advertising, supplies, scheduling, cleaning. You essentially rent your station. The idea is to be a part of our art collective family. We all paint, encourage travel, shows, magazine exposure, attend and host art shows, etc. We’re not in a commercial space. We are in industrial space located on a very busy off-street. The location is low key by design. Our goal is to be nothing like a typical shop. We all run disposable cartridges so there is no “clean room” area only a dirty sink and sharps containers. If you require one… you will be responsible for obtaining an autoclave and clean room paraphernalia.
Aside from a local clientele you must have:
A good professional reputation, a STRONG portfolio, a business license, bloodborn pathogen cert., and be able to register with the County Health Dept. We are not straight edge, however, we do not party at work. We do not want affiliation to any gang, firm, club, crew, or violent organization. We do not allow haters or drama queens. If you’re not positive minded and driven by your craft then you’re not welcome.
We paint, sculpt, create outside our profession and would hope you do too. We attend extra-curricular events, openings, shows, etc.
Social Media Savvy is a huge plus.
